Random chat is occupancy, not a recommendation

Open a session

On Anonymuch, random means the next available person who also has chat open—not a person chosen from a list, and not a person ranked by a paid boost. That applies to text and to video.

Who can be paired

Visitors who currently have the chat route open, for either text or video. There is no contact list.

What is not filtered

The product does not ask for city, language preference, or hobbies before pairing. Shared language, if it happens, is luck. You can leave if you cannot communicate. See how it works.

Skip

Ending a pair and waiting again is how people look for a different stranger. There is no block list that follows a person across the internet, because Anonymuch does not issue them a stable public ID inside the product.

Compared with contact chat

Contact chat starts from people you already know or can search. Random chat starts from whoever is present. Both can be rude or kind. Random does not make the other person safer. Read safety.

Anonymous plus random
